California published an update to the Reportable Ingredients List under the Safe Cosmetics Program on January 19th, 2024, to ensure all products sold in California containing specific hazardous ingredients are disclosed to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH).

The list now includes the fragrance allergens most recently added to the list in the EU. Companies should ensure that formulas of any marketed products are checked against the updated list, and reports are filed accordingly. This provides the industry with six months to comply with the new applicable reporting requirements using the updated list.
