The notice applies to any entity during the 2019 or 2020 calendar year that manufactured or imported any of the 700 substances listed in the notice, in a total quantity greater than 100 kg and that is in, or is intended to be in, a product subject to the Food and Drugs Act (such as cosmetic, novel food, food additive, therapeutic product or natural health product).

If this Section 71 notice applies to your company Health Canada considers participation to be mandatory and submissions are due by September 14, 2022.
